The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
